Eid Mubarak to everyone celebrating Eid al-Adha across New South Wales.

This great religious festival marks the devotion of the prophet Ibrahim to Allaand his willingness to sacrifice his son.

It also marks the end of Hajj, and I acknowledge all the Muslim brothers and sisters who have recently completed the sacred pilgrimage to Mecca.

Eid al-Adha is a time for the Muslim community in New South Wales and the world to come together in friendship and hospitality

It is a time for strengthening ties among families and friends and to show generosity and empathy towards those in need.

I thank our diverse Muslim communities for their contribution to our multicultural society and wish everyone a healthy, safe and peaceful Eid.

The Hon. Steve Kamper MP
Minister for Multiculturalism
