Darulfatwa the Islamic High Council of Australia honoured His Excellency the Jordanian Ambassador Dr. Ali Kraishan, the Chairman of the Council of Arab Ambassadors and Dean of the Diplomatic Corps in Australia, on the occasion of the end of his diplomatic services in Australia

The event was attended by several dignitaries including the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates, His Excellency Mr Abdulla Al-Subousi; the Ambassador of the State of Palestine and Head of the General Delegation of Palestine to Australia His Excellency Dr. Izzat Abdulhadi; Consul-General of Egypt, Mr Mohamed Khalil; Mr. Vedi Kurnia Buana, Consul General of the Republic of Indonesia; Dr. Bilal Aksoy, Vice Consul representing Mr. Ali Sevim, Consul General of Türkiye in Sydney; Ex-Senator of NSW Parliament, Mr Shaoquett Moselmane; the President of ICPA, Haj Mohammed Mehio; and several Sheikhs and representatives of Arabic and Islamic associations

The MC for the event was Mr. Ayman Alwan, Principal of Al Amanah College.

The first speech was given by Haj Muhammad Mehio, who spoke about the challenges faced by the Islamic community in the seventies, including racism and other hardships. He also praised Darulfatwa’s role in promoting Islamic values in society.

In his speech, Ambassador Dr. Ali Kraishan thanked Darulfatwa for the kind gesture and acknowledged their role in promoting moderation. He also highlighted the Jordanian government’s efforts to spread the true teachings of Islam.

His Eminence, Professor Sheikh Salim Alwan Al-Husseini, Chairman of Darulfatwa, gave the closing ceremony and thanked Ambassador Kraishan for his great service during his tenure at both the diplomatic and consular levels. His Eminence acknowledged the Ambassador’s dignified Arabic roots, diplomatic experience, and big heart that assisted served him well in strengthening the relations between the Arabic and Islamic associations and in uniting the diverse Jordanian community.

His Eminence also noted the good relationship he has with His Excellency, the Jordanian Minister of Awqaf, Dr. Muhammad Al-Khalayleh, and the Grand Mufti of Jordan, Sheikh Abdul Karim Al-Khasawneh, which is fostered by what Darulfatwa represents in Australia and reiterated Darulfatwa’s commitment to promoting moderation and fairness which helps protect both society and individuals.
