The reward of the one who is obedient to Allah

All praise is due to Allah, and may Allah raise the rank of Prophet Muhammad, his Al and Companions, and protect his nation from that which he fears for it. I advise you and myself to fear Allah and obey him.

Brothers in Islam, the Messenger of Allah said what means: The reward of the one who is obedient to Allah in a time in which there are many killings and tribulations is similar to the reward of the one who immigrated to Al-Madinah when it was obligatory.

Know may Allah have mercy upon you that Allah the Exalted created us and ordered us to worship him; obey his orders and refrain from sinning. Allah, the Exalted, deserves to be obeyed. He is the One who orders and forbids and no one has the right to order Him or forbid Him.

The best deeds that lead us to be accepted by Allah are the obligatory ones, and the best of all deeds is believing in Allah and His messenger.

Let it be known that steadfastness in performing the obligations and refraining from sinning is the path that leads to happiness and safety in the Hereafter.

From the route of Mu^adh Ibn Jabal, Radiyallahu ^anhu, that he asked the Prophet:

O Messenger of Allah, direct me to a deed which will lead me to Paradise and keep me away from Hellfire. The Prophet replied: You have asked about a great matter, yet it is indeed, an easy matter for the one whom Allah the Exalted makes it easy. (It is ) that you worship Allah without associating anything with Him, that you perform the prayers, that you pay the zakah, that you fast during Ramadan, and that you perform the pilgrimage”.

It is suitable for us to explain the meaning of ^ibadah (worship) which is the ultimate exaltation and the utmost submission.  The greatest right of Allah upon His slaves is to worship Him and to not associate anything with Him.

Muslims all around the world believe that Allah the Exalted is certainly attributed with Oneness. He is One without a partner to Him. He exists and there is no doubt in His Existence. He exists without a beginning and without an ending. He is the Only One Who deserves to be worshipped and anything other than Him does not deserve to be worshipped. Allah does not need any of the creations and all of the creations are in need of Him. No one other than Allah is the Creator of this world. No one other than Allah provides sustenance. No one other than Allah is God. Allah is attributed with the Attributes of perfection that befit Him such as Knowledge, Power and Will. Allah is clear of the attributes of imperfection such as ignorance, weakness and place.

Brothers in Islam, worship Allah and obey him until death. Work hard in the transient life for the everlasting hereafter and be patient if inflicted with hardship and calamities.

Strive to worship Allah consistently whilst you’re alive and able before you face death because we know that death is certain and our time on this world is limited. If you are struck with calamities and hardship, resort to prayer for it is the best deed after believing in Allah and His Messenger and will relieve you from your worries and concerns. Imam Ahmad narrated in his Musnad that the Prophet peace be upon him used to pray when experiencing hardship since the one who knows the reality of this world will work hard for the Hereafter and exert effort to obey Allah. Also, if you see others committing sins, don’t join them, rather, perform acts of worship for it is said that the one who laughs when disobeying Allah will cry when entering Hellfire.
