Praise and thanks are due to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds. We humbly ask Allah to raise the rank and increase the honour of our beloved leader and master Muhammad, sallallahu ^alayhi wa sallam, his kind relatives and companions, and protect his nation from that which he feared for them.

Dear brothers in Islam, Allah said:

قال الله تعالى:” وَاللهُ أَخْرَجَكُم مِّن بُطُونِ أُمَّهَاتِكُمْ لاَ تَعْلَمُونَ شَيْئًا وَجَعَلَ لَكُمُ الْسَّمْعَ وَالأَبْصَارَ وَالأَفْئِدَةَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ”

This ayah means: Allah brought you forth from the wombs of your mothers when you knew nothing; and He gave you hearing, sight and hearts, Be mindful of that and thank Him. (Surat An-Nahl, Ayah 78)

Allah informs us that when He the Exalted brought us forward from our mother’s womb we knew nothing about the rights due to The Provider who created us in the womb. The ayah’s purpose is to reveal the favour of Allah upon mankind in that He the Exalted brought mankind forward from the womb while mankind knew nothing and created for mankind the organs to allow mankind to seek and obtain knowledge.

So brother in Islam reflect on yourself and on all gifts that you possess. Indeed Allah is the One who bestowed up you the bodily virtues. And He is the One who bestowed upon you the virtue of health. He is the One who bestowed upon you the virtue of knowledge. He is the One who bestowed upon you the virtue of your heart, your hearing and your sight. The meaning of the ayah states: {Be mindful that Allah gave you hearing, sight and hearts and thank Him for them}.

Allah bestowed upon you the essential instruments of hearing, sight and the heart only to enable you to rid yourself from the lack of knowledge that you were born with and to enable you to obtain knowledge and apply it. This is how you can worship Allah, give thanks to Him and uphold His rights.

The greatest right due to Allah from His slaves is to not resemble Him to the creation and to not associate partners with Him. This is because associating partners to Allah is the greatest sin, one of blasphemy that some humankind may commit; the one who dies in it Allah does not forgive. But He may forgive anything else less in severity than blasphemy.
So, reflect on yourself and reflect on the creations of Allah and be more motivated to the obedience of Allah.

Allah said:

{ أَلَمْ يَرَوْاْ إِلَى الطَّيْرِ مُسَخَّرَاتٍ فِي جَوِّ السَّمَاء مَا يُمْسِكُهُنَّ إِلاَّ اللهُ إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لآيَاتٍ لِّقَوْمٍ يُؤْمِنُونَ }

This ayah means: {Do they not look at the birds, held poised in mid air? Nothing holds them up but the Power of Allah. Verily in this are signs for those who believe.}  Surat An-Nahl Ayah 79.

The explanation: Do they not observe how Allah facilitated the birds with a parachute to glide through the air by creating for them wings and other supporting means in the sky’s atmosphere? These include the distance of empty space between the sky and the earth and air density. Nothing supports the flapping of the wings, their stretch and contraction in flight and their stand still in the air except the Power of Allah. In such observations of Allah’s creation there are signs indicating that the creation is all in need of Allah. Hence, not even for a blink of an eye can this bird that glides through the sky cease relying on Allah.

Furthermore, regardless of the height of achievement that each one of us may reach in matters of education, monetary wealth, status or authority; not even for a blink of an eye can we cease relying on Allah. We and everything in our possession is owned by Allah. Even our bodies and our deeds are created by Allah. So adhere to Allah’s rights through your body and your wealth and thank your Lord for what you possess in virtues and good means. Also remember that the virtues and goodness of this life will eventually perish, but the virtues that Allah facilitates in the hereafter are most sublime and everlasting.
