Wednesday 11 of August 2010 is the first Day of Ramadan

Most Islamic countries have announced that Wednesday 11 of
August 2010 is the first Day of Ramadan like:
Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Egypt, Qatar, United Arab Emirates, Bahrain,
Yemen, Jordan, Tunisia, Algeria, Somalia, Syria and Palestine , also
All Sunnis in Lebanon, Iraq, Malaysia, Indonesia, Brunei, Singapore
announced that Wednesday 11 of August 2010 is the first day of
Ramadan.
While some Islamic Countries such as Oman, have announced that
today Wednesday 11 of August 2010 is the 29th of Sha^ban
,Ramadan will be on Thursday the 12 of August2010 for them.
On the other hand astronomers and people who depend on
calculations have as usual disagreed with each other some
announcing Ramadan on Wednesday and some on Thursday.
Praised are those who adhere to the methodology of Prophet
Muhammad (peace be upon him) and take by his saying, Fast by
sighting the crescent and break your fast by sighting the crescent, if
you are blocked from sighting the crescent then complete Sha^ban
30 days.
