The Muslim Youth of Truth's
2nd Annual Ramadan Dinner 2006
– Press Release –
The Muslim Youth of Truth in Sydney, also known as MYOT to the young, held its 2nd Annual Ramadan Dinner on Sunday 15th of October 2006 with an attendance of over 220 guests including both Muslim and Non-Muslim Youth. The Chairman of Darulfatwa Australia, Shaykh Salim Alwan Al-Husainiyy was also present on the night supporting the MYOT by saying: "Tonight's event is shaded by the love and affection of this organization, which is a member of Darulfatwa and one of our favourites, and most beloved groups. It is an organization that keenly works for the benefit of the youth and a key and valuable asset to the nation".
The evening was not only about breaking your fast on a tasty exquisite meal, but it also involved a live Karate performance of the well known Spears Sports Club, encouraging today's youth to engage in fitness and recreational activities, a live performance from our one and only Muslim Community radio 92.1 2mfm, a wonderful video projection about MYOT and its achievements for the year 2006, and a huge Prize Draw to top off the night with over 20 valuable prizes. We sincerely thank all those generous sponsors who supported the occasion.
The Muslim Youth of Truth is an organization established upon noble objectives and its members are striving hard to mentor today's Muslim Youth towards living in peace and harmony, protecting them from the harmful consequences of deviant, extremist ideologies and antisocial behaviour. It aims at building an understanding in today's youth to assure all Australians that we Muslims want to work as neighbours peacefully in making a better Australia for our children in the future.
We are delighted and thankful to all those who attended our dinner, and for those who missed out, we hope to see you all in the year 2007.
