The High Islamic Council of Australia Congratulates
The Labor Party on a Remarkable Win of the Federal Elections 2022
The Chairman of Darulfatwa-The Islamic High Council of Australia duly congratulates The Hon. Mr. Anthony Albanese and the Labor Party for an outstanding win in the 2022 Federal Elections on Saturday 21 May 2022, in a letter addressed to the new Prime Minister.
Professor Sheikh Salim Alwan, the Chairman of Darulfatwa Australia, expressed his support to the Labor Party, in a letter written on behalf of the Darulfatwa board and the member organizations which constitute Muslims of diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds.
Professor Alwan, who is a renowned scholar in Islam advocating for moderation, social co-existence and women’s rights, wrote:
“We are confident that you and your cabinet will make a lasting, positive impression on Australia’s history, with your vision, insight, and compassion.
Professor Alwan, offered his support and the support of his members to help advance the beneficial objectives of the new government. He wrote:
“I cordially put the services and resources of Darulfatwa Australia at your disposal. We are ready to support your beneficial projects and strategies and stand side-by-side with you”.
