Brothers in Islam, usually during regular circumstances, this is the time when the Hujjaj would return from Al-Haram Mosque. They return from the journey of a lifetime, which the selves of the believers long for. They long for seeing the honoured Ka^bah and the black stone, and the Hijr of Ismail, the Maqam of Ibrahim, and the Mizab of mercy, ^Arafat, An-Nour mountain, Ar-Rahmah mountain, the cave of Hira’, Mount Uhud, the grave of Hamzah, the Baqi^, and Zamzam. They return from where the thirsty and longing self gets its relief by visiting the Master of the messengers and the most accepted one to the Lord of the universe, and our leader and the delight of our eyes, ﷺ محمد.
For those who have returned from a journey of obedience and obeying the orders of the Creator, we ask Allah that their Hajj was accepted.
Brothers in Islam, the families of the Hujjaj await their return with longing to greet them after their absence, and to gather with them after having been separated from them, and to hear from them what happened with them among the goodness in their journey, and they await from them some good gifts like the siwak, Zamzam water, and dates from al-Madinah.
However, do not forget to ask those Hujjajj to ask Allah to forgive you because it has been narrated in the hadith narrated by Al-Bayhaqiyy that the Prophet, ﷺ, said O Allah, forgive the Hajj and whomever the Hajj asks of Allah the forgiveness for.
Brothers in Islam, when the Muslim learns what has been narrated about the siwak and the water of Zamzam and the dates especially the ^Ajwah of al-Madinah, and the usage of the subhah, and wearing the qamis and the qalansuwah and other than that among the things that their merits have been narrated, the person would know the value of these things which the Hajj brings back with him. Therefore, preserve these habits because the habits of the righteous are the best of habits. Let the siwak be your companion throughout the year and not for one month only after the Hujjaj return, and remain consistent as much as you can upon wearing the Muslim attire and making it apparent, do not feel shy about carrying the siwak, do not feel shy about wearing the qalansuwah and the qamis, get your children accustomed to these good matters, because using the siwak and wearing the qamis and the qalansuwah is not specific to the season in which the Hujjaj return.
Congratulations to the one who learned and applied what he learned. Many people do not learn, many of those who learned do not implement, many of those who implement are not sincere, therefore, monitor yourself, fellow Muslim, and hold yourself accountable before you are judged on judgement day.
O youth of Islam, there are those among you who follow some of the habits that have no benefit like having tattoos, and men wearing necklaces, and imitating the non-muslims in their hairstyle and other than that, in fact some youngsters compete with each other to be the first to do such bad habits. What befits you, O youth of Islam, is to compete with each other to be the first to do the good deeds, and to follow the habits of the scholars and of the righteous Salaf, and that which the Prophet ﷺ was upon. The Prophet peace be upon him is the best role model for us to imitate.
O Hajj, your family and your loved ones await goodness from you therefore beware of bringing them poison like these colorful decorated books which are distributed to the Hujjajj in different languages and they are filled with poison, such as corruption in the creed and likening Allah to the creations, and forbidding the tawassul , and forbidding visiting the grave of the beloved one , the chosen one ﷺ محمد, beware beware from those books that are decorated and are distributed for free because, surely, they contain in them that which if a person believes it, he would fall into misguidance.
It is astonishing how some people are deluded by the image of a book and its design and color without looking at what it contains inside and the corruption it contains, how some people do not take care to verify the accuracy of the book… one distributes and hands out books he was given without verifying what is in them… one rushes to read in a book that he is pleased with its color that was given to him by those whose bad situation is well known… where is the religious scale?… why don’t they follow the way of the righteous salaf in the knowledge? Did such people acquire knowledge only by reading in the books without learning it from a trustworthy teacher? Brothers in Islam, this knowledge is a religious knowledge, so check first from whom you learn your religion.
May Allah accept from me and you the good deeds, and may Allah facilitate for us performing Hajj next year. May Allah forgive me and you.
